Project details:
This project aims to reach EU road safety objectives by enhancing network safety and resilience, supporting cross-border mobility and seamless transport operations in line with the EU framework for Road Safety.
– Activity 1: support Malta for the proper transposition and implementation of the revised CBE and Driving Licence Directives at the national level, enhancing the EU’s crossborder enforcement capabilities; and the upgrading of the existent RESPER modules to achieve the new requirements.
– Activity 2 (KPIs): build upon national expertise and the foundational work of the Baseline and Trendline projects to deliver high-quality, harmonised data, essential for institutionalising KPI measurement as a permanent policy tool and for measuring progress in road safety performance.
– Activity 3 (Infrastructure): Malta will undertake the network-wide assessment, a key requirement of the RISM Directive 2008/96/EC and contribute to extending this knowledge to the critical urban environment.
